Biography
B.J. Moore is a Canadian writer who spent nine years writing his debut science fiction trilogy entirely through speech-to-text software. Due to limited use of his hands, he dictated every word and every revision using only his voice. He has lived with Friedreich's Ataxia, a rare hereditary disease that affects coordination, and has used a wheelchair for nearly twenty-five years.
B.J. holds four science degrees, including a Master of Science from the University of Western Ontario, where he authored an original thesis. He has also published several academic papers.
When the trilogy is published, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), a non-profit organization dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for the disease.
B.J. is 44 and lives in Paris, Ontario. The trilogy is his first work of fiction, born from the belief that everyone has a story worth telling, no matter how they have to tell it.
